Tributo a Marco Simoncelli

Oggi è una di quelle giornate che quando arrivano, fanno capire come non abbiamo alcun controllo assoluto sulla nostra vita.

Non riesco ancora a credere a quello che è successo oggi.

Stamattina mi sono alzato e la prima cosa che ho pensato è stata: Oh, no mi sono perso la gara del Sic! Ho guardato l’ora e ho pensato che forse facevo in tempo a vedere un po’ di Fuorigiri, e magari a guardare la gara alle 14 in replica. Accesa la televisione, la terribile notizia. Marco Simoncelli è in rianimazione. Pochi minuti dopo l’annuncio di Paolo Beltramo. Supersic non c’è più. Non qui sulla Terra.

Molti diranno che sono esagerato, che non conoscendolo non posso essere così devastato dalla sua scomparsa, che la gente muore ogni giorno, e tutte le solite stupidaggini senza senso. Amen. Per me non era uno qualunque. In questi anni, seguire le gesta di Marco è stato un piacere sia che vincesse o che fosse in difficoltà. Ho sofferto e gioito con lui. Era quello che aggiungeva sempre un po’ di pepe e un po’ di allegria al mondiale e alle mie giornate, in ogni singola gara e in ogni singola intervista. Ogni volta che si presentava in qualunque ambito ti tirava su di morale.

In pochissimo tempo mi sono affezionato, come se fosse un amico di vecchia data, ma che non ho mai avuto il piacere di conoscere di persona. Aveva una grande personalità dentro e fuori dai circuiti. Era spontaneo e sempre sorridente. Aveva degli obiettivi e dei sogni. Commetteva degli sbagli, come tutti, ma ci si è dimenticati spesso che era un ragazzo. Un ragazzo poco più grande di me, dal grande spessore umano. Era una di quelle persone che pensi non possa mai succedergli niente di male, invulnerabile. Ma il fato o quello che vi pare, a volte è crudele.

Il pensiero di non vederti più ridere e scherzare, o strisciare ginocchia e gomiti sull’asfalto appeso alla tua moto, è veramente difficile da descrivere. Mi spezza il cuore. Sono cose che creano un vuoto terribile. Mi dispiace molto, Marco, avrei voluto dedicarti un disegno in una circostanza diversa e più piacevole, venire a trovarti in circuito a Misano o al Mugello per augurarti un in bocca al lupo per la gara. Questo è tutto quello che posso fare per te, in questo momento. Divertiti ora e guardaci da lassù. I miei pensieri vanno alla tua famiglia e ai tuoi cari. Riposa in pace. Non ti dimenticherò mai.
